Prepare or Declare?
Were you ready for Christmas? Have you made your list of everything you want to change this New Year? How many things did you declare to complete for a perfect New Year?
“Prepare the way for the Lord,” is the instruction first found in Isaiah 40:3 and repeated in Mark 1:3. This instruction is for us as well today. We need to prepare ourselves for the advent or 2nd coming of the Lord.
Our missionaries both at home and across the world are sharing the Word of God and helping others understand how to be prepared for the advent of our Lord. Please keep missionaries and their work in your prayers as part of the preparations for your New Year’s declarations. Try putting extra mites in your mite box in remembrance of each mission project nationally and locally as part of your preparations and declarations! Remember that God declares us His children and heirs in John 16:13-14 along with those that have been led to faith through hearing God’s Word through missionary workers.
